Horse Boarding

Asunción Valley Farm offers horse boarding for clients in training, retirees, and young horses.  Located in the serene, rolling hills of Templeton, California on 110 irrigated acres, AVF provides a unique place for horses to train and develop into top athletes while still being able to enjoy being a horse.  We believe horses should have access to grazing and the ability to move around freely.  Horses are treated with the utmost care and their well-being is the top priority among our on-site staff.

We have many different boarding options to suite your horses needs. The show barn has nine oversized stalls with run-outs. The young horse pens are partially covered and measure 12x24 or 18x30. The pipe corrals are partially covered and measure approximately 200x90. We also have large irrigated pastures for retired horses, young horses or horses that just love to be on the grass all day.

Retired horses have the option of joining up with a small herd or having their own 3/4 acre irrigated field. The retirement herd roams around on 10-15 acres. They are fed twice a day and have ample grass to graze most of the year.

Young horses are joined together in small (2-6 horse) herds depending on their age and gender.  We handle all of the young horses from foals on up regularly and also offer the option for young horse education if you want your horse to receive more personalized training and handling.
