Emeline was lightly started in the fall of 2022 and then given several months off to grow up and enjoy life in the grass field. She has an incredible character, very sweet and calm. She will make an exceptional horse for an amateur or young rider. She is very willing and brave and has three lovely, correct, uphill gaits with a ground covering canter.
Emeline's sire, Emerald van't Ruytershof is an exceptionally talented international Grand Prix and 2016 Rio Olympic stallion who has racked up international placings and wins for years. In 2016 he also became the winner of the Nations Cup in Rotterdam and placed 2nd in the World Cup Final. In June, 2014, Emerald and his rider, Harrie Smolders (aka "The Flying Dutchman"), were 2nd in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup CSIO5* in Rotterdam and 4th in the Grand Prix Table A at the CSI3* Sint-Katelijne-Waver.
Emeline's Dam's Sire, Contefino, received the highest scores at the AHHA stallion approvals with a dream score of 10 for jumping ability and 10 for technique. Contefino has three very good gaits and received a score of 10 for his canter. He was sold at the age of 6 back to Germany. He was known throughout Germany for his remarkable jumping ability. He competed successfully at the 1.60m classes in Europe. After an injury he was brought back to the US to stand at stud where he has produced multiple champion offspring, many competing at the Grand Prix. Some of his famous offspring include Confine LVF, ridden and owned by Ashley Bond, and Henrietta, winning at Grand Prix in 2023.
